Well, even in the pop culture - movies, music videos, comics, TV shows, and video games, several facets of human destruction by cyborgs or AI has already been shown. Scratch that - dictators in today's worlds are doing the same - morally, economically and psychologically.

I have read 1984 some years back. I am yet to read Brave New World. Got to grab the books ASAP.
