The suggestions are on point. The number of paying people disappointed with the partner program and leaving the platform is currently concerning. However, I still believe, Medium is one of the best platforms to grow an audience and develop writing skills. Yes, the algorithm is lil' screwed up but it is the platform I like so much.

The payments are so random as it all depends on the reads our article attracts. As someone mentioned in the comments, we as writers also need to come up with innovative ideas without making the article as clickbait-y.
