"Side hustle" has been overused for some years now. Personally, I don't like the term. For me, I always wanted to create additional sources of income. Yes, the journey has not been easy at all.
I do have a day job, hence I thought I would give writing a try. I am not even close. It is going to be one year now. I earn around $50 every month from Medium. Yes, some months I have made over $200 as well. But it all depends on member readership, curation, etc. I have seen writers giving it a try and leaving eventually. It is not a sprint but a marathon.
I have tried YouTube and failed miserably. Worse than you. I could only gain 50+ subscribers. I always wanted the organic reach approach, but yeah, I didn't want to spend money on promotion.
I also own a personal blog where I have enabled Google Adsense. I hardly made anything from there. The readers are reluctant to click on ads. But, I will not stop working on my blog. I believe I need to make more changes and put out more content.
Yes, dropshipping is the one thing which I am so passionate about. I know some people who make $100,000 every year. But they have been there in the game for a long time.
