I had a friend who is gay and he never opened to anyone till he was 27. This is because there is still a taboo to be talking about it especially in our country.

Thankfully, he is happy now and his parents and friends were understanding. The thing is there is not enough representation in the mainstream in my country (India) unlike the West.
