I absolutely appreciate the comparison. Writing HubPages seems like writing on your own blog. The fact that it acts as a middle man is the dealbreaker for me. For me, Medium has done wonders. I have learned so much from Medium and yes, writing on Medium definitely takes a practice and effort as you need to write good quality articles and if you do, you do get appreciated for it.
